As recruitment chairs for the Beta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Julie and I are very excited for Formal Sorority Recruitment for fall 2009. We can’t wait to meet women interested in our Chapter and show you the place where we found our home away from home at the University of Illinois. We are looking for members that can bring something new and unique to our Chapter, women who are willing to open themselves to a memorable experience as a Kappa. Our Chapter members are involved in many different activities and are encouraged to become well-rounded individuals. Women in our Chapter are involved in activities from intramural soccer and the dance team, to Business Council and other academic activities. Our Chapter strikes a perfect balance between social and academic endeavors. Our members come from many different backgrounds and have many different interests and talents, but one thing that we will always have in common is Kappas.

When going through recruitment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Going from Chapter to Chapter, I knew that I wanted to find a place where I felt at home. Not only did I find a place where I found my home away from home, but I found a second family that will be my friends for a lifetime. I can honestly say that I cannot imagine my college experience without Kappa Kappa Gamma. Joining this Chapter has helped me find my place at a large university. I have been a very active member in our Chapter, but Kappas welcome members that also have other commitments.

We are looking forward to meeting prospective members, we encourage you to sign up for Panhellenic Recruitment for fall 2009 and we hope that you give recruitment a chance!
